Henrick Voskanyan was born in 1961 in Yerevan. After completing the Secondary School he entered Technical Fine-Art College, he graduated with the Red Diploma. In 1980 he entered the Pedagogical Institute named after Khachatur Abovyan to pursue the study of painting and graphic arts. He graduated from the Institute in 1985. Soon thereafter he began teaching. In 1990 he began to find himself as an artist. Impressionism, the Renaissance, and Armenian miniatures were big influences in his work. After five to six years of hard work he discovered his own direction in art. In 1990 and 1992 he took part in the Fine Art Exhibition in Istanbul and Yerevan respectively. His works were shown in Paris (1995), in Lebanon (1997), in the United Arab Emirates, Strasbourg, New York, and Canada. In 2001 his works were shown in the Modern Art Center in Yerevan. Most of his works are in personal collections all across the world. |
