ADRIANA NAVEH After she graduated in the middle of the eighties in an oppressive and violent atmosphere in Argentina she immigrated to Israel where the situation is no less tense. With the use of an interesting medium, plaster spackle, and large open spaces, the artist gives new meaning to the power of simplicity in composition. Women, engrossed in thought, caught in a simple soft pose are highlighted by a background of household objects. The intimate and private subjects are inspired from everyday life. In her paintings Adriana plays with the light and her palette introduces the spectator into magic moments. The light in Adriana’s works creates visual illusions in pursuit of perfection. She inspires us to dream of the beauty that the woman is offering us. As an artist Adriana is a person who is able to be passionately involved with her environment. |
